Midnight Honesty at Noon: Your Wednesday Potpourri

We tried a "If you've seen the show and come back with a friend, you'll be able to see the show for free" deal with the Skriker. We had a couple of people take us up on the deal but it didn't make up a lot of our box office. We had a lot of people returning singley to see the show and we would let them see it again for free (I'm a softy at the box office sometimes.) Our industry "Pay What You Can" deals always did very well.

We have a policy that if someone buys a ticket and wants to come back, if they bring 2 friends they get in for free.

Do folks use it? Do you find that its successful for you?

"I ask: How many companies out there have a “Buy one get in free with a friend next time” coupon?"

Well...my sophomore year Laurelle got me into a staged adaptation of the Book of Luke based on the fact that if she brought a non-christian, she got in for free. Is that the same thing? ;)

    RZ,
What do you think it would take for the bring backs to make up a larger portion of the box? How do we help our audiences do our evangelism for us?

On the box office level, we probably could have done more leg work - remind people on their way out of the show of the deal, for example. I think more of the salesperson/squeaky wheel mode, although sometimes painful, can do wonders with carrying enthusiasm.
